Went hiking on Saturday at Mount Falcon Park
. It was great and we pretty much had the trail we took all to ourselves.
Had a dream the other night that I could draw. It was awesome - I just whipped out a pencil and went to town. When I drew the picture in my dream, I thought to myself, "Wow, that's pretty good!" and then looked at it again and realized that it was perfect. If only I could draw like I could in my dream. If only I could fly like I could in other dreams....hrrrmph.

I'm really excited for the Harry Potter movie on November 16. I feel like a little kid. :-) Hopefully it will live up to the hype. I've visited the Web site recently and found a fun little game

When I was running on the trail the other day, I bumped into a woman with a really cute dog. I could tell it was definitely part German Shephard, and asked her what else she thought might be mixed in. She thought it was most likely Husky. We started chatting and I got to pet the pup named Rosie. The woman told me that she had picked the dog up at Lifeline Puppy Rescue
a few months back. It is up in and Brighton and they rescue young puppies from all over the state. They're only open on weekends and there are dozens that are adoptable each week. Jon-Paul and I will probably get a puppy from there when we can finally get dogs. We will also adopt an older dog from either Denver Dumb Friends League
, Longmont Humane Society
, or some other local Colorado dog rescue organization
. I can't wait to have dogs. That's the main reason I want to get a house. I also want to be able to be loud whenever I want. :-)

Autumn is my favorite season of the year. Particulary right now when the weather remains in the 50/60s and the leaves are half-on and half-off the trees. It brings me back to my childhood on Long Island. My Aunt Beth knew a woman who owned horses and they needed the back area of the property cleared out. Well, my dad got out his chainsaw and cut down as much as he could. We went back for quite a few weekends in a a row. Jessica and I would play among the fallen tree ruins, run around with the beagle puppies and let the horses spin our pigtails with their snoots. I remember the smells, the weather, my lumberjack dad, the whirring of the chainsaw and the pure feelings of happiness.

We went hiking in Deer Creek Canyon
on Sunday afternoon. It was really nice. We even saw a deer on our way out of the open space. We were psyched about that. On Monday, Mom and Dad arrived safely from Cabo. Yay.
For a total switch in mood, I received some bad news on Saturday. One of my former co-workers/friends died in the WTC tragedy. Her name was Michele Nelson
and she was a very cool person. I was very saddened by the news and wish to express my deepest sympathies. I will miss her.

Looking at my last post, my Web site is indeed back up and running.
Went to the Seven Nations
show at the Hard Rock on Wednesday. My ear is still ringing. I didn't realize it was so loud when I was in there, but isn't that always the way? The show was great. A lot of people showed up and they sounded great.

After months of trying to gain control of my domain names, I think I have finally done it. I definitely own them, I am just waiting on my Web host. I am so happy that everything is under my control now. (God, that sounds evil, huh?)
Went to the beer fest last week and it was a blast. We collected a bunch of knick knacks and I even caught a t-shirt. I think Mom and Dad enjoyed their visit. Wish we could see them all the time. :-)
