When was the last time you...
1. ...sent a handwritten letter?
I always write letters on the blank side of greeting cards. I also leave letters around the house.
2. ...baked something from scratch or made something by hand?
I made ziti on Monday.
3. ...camped in a tent?
Summer of 1996, I believe. It was at the beach.
4. ...volunteered your time to church, school, or community?
I've done a bunch of 5K races that benefit various charities. I have stopped running races that donate to medical charities that test on animals.
5. ...helped a stranger?
I signed some guy's petition in front of the supermarket.

I've been admiring flowers wherever I go. I took some photos today and I hope to take more again soon. For more flower photos, visit my Web site
As the bumper sticker says, they suck. At the end of last week, someone slammed their car door into my car door. It may not seem like that big of a deal, but they put two sizeable dents in my door as well as transferring a lot of red paint. No note. They just did it and most likely drove off. There's nothing I can do except continue to believe in kharma...if it exists.

New house, older house, which do I want? The newer ones are farther away from the city and the older ones, well they're old, but they usually have bigger yards. I just want a house so that I can get dogs. (And so I don't hear my neighbors' every move.)

I can understand harming a sign, poster or advertisement because of political or social beliefs. But, I don't understand why people deface things because they're bored. When I was coming home from my run, I noticed a bus stop bench that had been cleared of half of its ad. Someone had peeled half the ad off and stuffed it between the boards of the bench. Why? I'm sure that someone paid good money to advertise their business, and chances are, it's a relatively small business because a larger business would probably advertise on TV. I just don't get vandalism for boredom's sake.

House-looking and Fires
We have officially started our house-hunting. We looked at some models today and we really liked one of them, but it wouldn't be ready until March 2003! Yowsers!! It was also incredibly smoky today throughout Colorado. This spooky photo was taken at around 4:20 pm:

I totally suck at doing girlie things. I try to paint my toenails, but I get the polish everywhere. I suck at doing hair and makeup. Shouldn't I have been born with these skills?

For two days now, I have had a headache in and above my right eye. Ow!
Tuesday, June 04, 2002
I'm drowning in tons of work...and I want to scream, but I can't because my head is underwater. Blah!

We're breaking records here in Colorado with our weekend weather. We hovered in the 90s all weekend. It felt more like August than the first weekend of June. Don't get me wrong, I loved it!

I am sad. Lever 2000 has stopped making their "original" bar soap. I cannot stand the smell of the new "perfectly fresh" scent. It smells like over-cologned boys in a bar. I have used Lever 2000 original for 10 years now, and I am really frustrated that I have to find a new soap. There isn't even a Lever 2000 Web site that I can go complain too. Poops, poops, poops.
