Friday Five [courtesy of smattering.org]

1. What's your favorite piece of clothing that you currently own?
My fleece v-neck sweaters from Old Navy. I have them in 8 colors and I practically live in them all winter.

2. What piece of clothing do you most want to acquire?
Pants and jeans that fit well, look good and are super comfortable.

3. What piece of clothing can you not bring yourself to get rid of? Why?
My tap shoes from an 11th grade play. I don't know how to tap dance, but I guess somewhere in the back of my mind I think that I will learn someday.

4. What piece of clothing do you look your best in?
Any kind of black shirt.

5. What has been your biggest fashion accident?
High school. Why did I wear such HUGE shirts? I looked huge!

Sleepy
Have you ever been so tired, that all you think about is the day that you get to sleep late? (Can't wait for Saturday.)

Don't Know Them, But...
Two bloggers got married. Yay for them. I don't know them, but I am amused by their Web sites. Congratulations to Dooce and Blurbomat on a beautiful wedding.

Seven Nations
We saw the boys again on Sunday night at the Fillmore. (I didn't take any photos this time.) Well, we saw most of them; Dan wasn't there. He's off in Japan dancing or something. We saw Seven Nations with Great Big Sea and the Young Dubliners on the Uprooted Tour. It was a great show.

Friday Five [courtesy of smattering.org

1. What is your current occupation? Is this what you chose to be doing at this point in your life? Why or why not?
Knowledge Base Analyst. I really enjoy the job. I had a feeling I'd be writing, and this is just an extension of that.

2. If time/talent/money were no object, what would your dream occupation be?
Saving animals. Taking care of all the stray and unwanted dogs in the world.

3. What did/do your parents do for a living? Has this had any influence on your career choices?
Dad's in procurement, Mom's in Systems/Network Administration and Database stuff. Both Mom and Dad are awesome at writing!

4. Have you ever had to choose between having a career and having a family?
Nope. I don't want kids.

5. In your opinion, what is the easiest job in the world? What is the hardest? Why?
I think Hollywood stars have it the easiest. (I mean, those Friends stars get $1 million an episode - come on!) I think that caregivers have it the hardest. They have hearts of gold.

Oblivious
Just caught the new TV show Oblivious on MTV and it was pretty funny. You win money for answering a stranger's questions. Ha!

Friday Five [courtesy of smattering.org
There is no official Friday Five today, so I'm using an I old one that I never answered.

1. Do you eat breakfast? What did you have today?
Yes, I either have grilled cheese, cinnamon raisin bread, or peanut butter and jelly. Today I had a Sausilito Pepperidge Farm cookie.

2. What beverages do you usually have in a typical day?
At least two liters of water, some iced tea, lemonade, Pepsi or Diet Dr. Pepper, and on weekends: beer.

3. White bread or wheat bread?
Wheat. But I'll eat white too.

4. What's your favorite kind (potato/tortilla/corn) and flavor of chip?
I love all chips. But I'd have to say that I love pretzels the most.

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend?
With family.

This one-time Long Island girl was uprooted and had to move to Southern California. So, I've lived on both coasts and now I live smack dab in the middle of the country. Ha! That means that I've been friends with Kristin for almost 16 years. Wow!

Clinique Bonus Time
Anyone who knows me, knows I'm not too girly. But that inner-girl comes out when it's Clinique Bonus Time. Yay! I love free stuff. Especially the free stuff I'll actually use. (I *will not* use the Clinique Happy perfume - BLEAH!)

1. Do you have a car? If so, what kind of car is it?
Yes, a Mitsubishi Mirage.

2. Do you drive very often?
I drive to work every weekday. Jon-Paul does most of the driving on the weekend, but we do switch between his car and my car.

3. What's your dream car?
Don't have one. I actually don't like expensive cars.

4. Have you ever received a ticket?
Yes, for going through a yellow light. Bleah.

5. Have you ever been in an accident?
Yes, but I've always been a passenger.

Hadn't visited his site in a while, so I took a gander. He's got more stuff up. His animations are hillarious.

Friday Five [courtesy of smattering.org]

1. What is your lineage? Where are your ancestors from?
I am American first and foremost. But I am Russian, Austrian, Hungarian, and Scottish.

2. Of those countries, which would you most like to visit?
I'd like to see all of them, but Scotland would be my first choice.

3. Which would you least like to visit? Why?
I guess Hungary. I do want to go, but it would probably be the last place that I'd go out of the four.

4. Do you do anything during the year to celebrate or recognize your heritage?
I go to Celtic celebrations and see the band Seven Nations whenever they're in town. I also took four years of Russian in college. Oh and I love "The Sound of Music." Isn't that Austria? :-)

5. Who were the first ancestors to move to your present country (parents, grandparents, etc)?
I believe it was my great-grandparents. They ended up in Brooklyn.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Dance
Have you seen this? It's been going around the Internet for a couple of months now. They played it on the big screens at the Rapids game the other night. It is so weird, yet wonderful at the same time.
