Friday Five[courtesy of]

1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
Lately, I've only had time to read magazines. But, I love to read sci-fi novels and poetry.

2. What is your favorite novel?
This is a really tough question. I loved "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card, and also "Contact" by Carl Sagan. (It's MUCH different than the movie.) And as any child at heart, I love the Harry Potter books.

3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
I love Sylvia Plath's poems. Not that I'm a dark person, I just really love the way that she worked with words.

4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
"Cryptonomicon" by Neal Stephenson.

5. What are you currently reading?

To Do List
Ever since we got the house, I feel like my whole life has turned into a never-ending to-do list. Friends have told me that it will never end. I guess I can just hope that it will taper off and become a short to-do list. Not the massive, eternal Sunday paper-sized list that it is today. At least the couches are coming tomorrow. Yay!

So bad
I've been so bad about writing. Not just here, but in general. I have not written in my physical journal/diary since last July. That is so pathetic. I need to write more. I need to read more. I was flipping through my diary from last year and was looking at what I was doing a year ago. I was very sad about not having a job and I was just bummed. What a difference a year makes. I accomplished a bunch of things that I set forth on a list last year around this time. Probably the biggest being the house. I still can't believe we finally did it. The shock has not worn out. Not that the house isn't comfortable, but slowly but surely, it's starting to feel like "ours", but it still has that weird surrealistic feel to it. Still a crazy stressball.
