Funny Finding

Who knows if it's actually true or not, but this article gave me a giggle. I don't know if picking your nose and eating it is truely condoned by a doctor. Living in Colorado, you have to pick your nose constantly. It's soooooo dry and your little boogers get so hard, that I think you'd have unintending piercings if you didn't. :-)

All this nice weather

Not to have an entry similar to small talk, but man, the weather lately has been beautiful. Today is absolutely killing everyone to be inside. The sun is shining, the sky is clear, the wind is warm and those open patios are calling our names. But, there is so much work to be done, but it is incredibly hard to concentrate. Stupid work. :-)

Torn couches and mean volunteers

So, one morning last week I could not get Lucy to go in the crate. I decided that it might be a good time to try leaving her out for the day. There's no way she would tear up the couch again, right? Wrong. When we got home she had torn the couch way worse than that last time.

This dog has severe separation anxiety...and destructive tendencies.

We decided that it's probably time to find her a doggy friend. We headed to the Denver Dumb Friends League on Saturday. We saw a couple that we liked, but maaaaaan, the woman at the desk was so snotty that I didn't even want to deal with her, so we left. You know, it's one thing to volunteer when you love something, but if you're buring out on it - stop volunteering. Don't be mean to the people who want to help get those homeless dogs adopted. It seems like everytime we go to the Denver Dumb Friends League we have issues with at least one of the volunteers. Mean people suck.

Happy Spring!

Today is the first day of spring and we have been experiencing such beautiful weather. Yesterday was near 80 degrees. It was sooooo nice. Today won't be as warm, but we'll get in the 70s. I love this. I can't wait for winter to be over. I'm sure there's a little more snow in the near future but it means that we're that much closer.

Friday Five [courtesy of fridayfive.org]

If you...

1. ...owned a restaurant, what kind of food would you serve?
Lots of tasty stuff, and mostly vegetarian. Probably chips and salsa, burritos, ziti, pizza, bagels, pretzels....very ecclectic.

2. ...owned a small store, what kind of merchandise would you sell?
I would hope it would be near a beach and I'd sell chapstick, sunblock, sunglasses and fun beachy stuff.

3. ...wrote a book, what genre would it be?
Science Fiction.

4. ...ran a school, what would you teach?
Probably math or english.

5. ...recorded an album, what kind of music would be on it?
It would be a wide variety of music, but mostly rock.

One step toward girl land

I always make such a big deal about how I'm not very girly. But, I have to admit lately I've had a very rare bout of girl. I've been buying shoes and skirts. What's up with that? I mean, did someone drop some estrogen in my drink? Of course, I'm not even close to being a real girl, because I'm buying everything pretty damn cheap....maybe that's the attraction. :-)

Another weekend....gone.

Well, it seems like it has been a really looooong weekend, but it really hasn't been. The surprise party went well, even though poor Deann probably thought Jason was taking her to Mexico. (We had to throw her off somehow!) :-) I had a lot of fun and I'm pretty sure everyone else did too. We took Lucy to the dog park today and she ran around like a maniac. Boy dogs definitely seem really really attracted to her. It's because she's so pretty.
