Did you ever...

So, I'm sitting here thinking, "Wow, something smells really good. Clean." And then I realized it was me. Ha! Today I smell like soap. This is a good thing.

Things and Stuff (aka the lazy way to make a post)
  1. I get too many magazines. (but I do want to read them all!)
  2. I had theVegetarian Autumn Tomato Bisque soup today for lunch. Liked it. Didn't think I would.
  3. When I stumble upon a cheezy Lifetime or O! television movie, I should immediately change the channel. Otherwise, I am sucked into two hours of bad acting and weak plots. Why? Why can't I tear myself away from these horrible things? :-)
  4. Finding a pair of jeans that fits is nearly impossible.
  5. Watching the last half hour of a movie is pretty much as good as watching the whole thing. (in most cases.)
  6. I still don't know what to be for Halloween.
  7. I have a kink in my neck. Ow.
  8. I learned how to play Cricket yesterday (darts).
  9. Lucy tries foods that most other dogs wouldn't even go near.
  10. Finally got a mattress pad -- now all I need is a comforter.
  11. Ummmm, what happened to summer?
  12. I'm having a bad hair day. Time for a hair trim

I Want This!

If anyone feels like getting this for me, I'd be really thankful. :-) I'd even ask Ben to bring along Jennifer Garner.

A cool song I forgot about 'til hearing it again yesterday

Joe Cocker - Have A Little Faith In Me Lyrics

When the road gets dark
And you can no longer see
Let my love throw a spark
Have a little faith in me

And when the tears you cry
Are all you can believe
Give these loving arms a try baby
Have a little faith in me

Have a little faith in me (repeat x4)

When your secret heart
Cannot speak so easily
From a whisper start
To have a little faith in me

And when your back's against the wall
Just turn around and you will see
I will catch your fall
Have a little faith in me

Have a little faith in me (repeat x4)

When the road gets dark
And you can no longer see
Let my love throw a spark
Have a little faith in me

Have a little faith in me (repeat x4)

I've been loving you for such a long time
Expecting nothing in return
Just for you to have a little faith in me
You know time, time is our friend
I will hold you up, I will hold you up
Your love gives me strength enough

Have a little faith in me

As long as I'm wishing for things..

I'd also like my butt to raise up about 4 inches.

I want to be good at something. Have a speciality. Be able to be close to perfect at something. I've just never had a knack for any particular thing. Average, good enough and mediocre are okay. But I really do want to be good at something.

Mounting Evidence that I'm Officially Old

I received an e-mail from one of my oldest friends that her little girl started kindergarten. Mom always warned me that as you get older time seems to snowball and rolls faster and faster. Man, was she right. Here is a picture of Kristin's oldest daughter Emma on her first day of school.

This is a momentous day

I mailed in the 10-day payoff amount on my Student Loans today. That means in about 5 business days, I will be free and clear of that debt. (Which also means, the only payment I have now is my might be time for a new car!)

Busy Bee

I have been busy lately, haven't had much time to write. In an attempt to add some content, I'll make one of my easy-way-out bulleted lists:
  • Went with the color "Barnwood" from Lowe's. It's a khaki-ish color. I really like it.
  • The bed for the spare bedroom arrived and I love it. Nice and beachy.
  • Gave Lucy some Pizza Hut on Friday night...she puked it up in the back seat of my car. Lucky me.
  • Jon-Paul replaced all the plugs that Lucy has chewed off of the lamps in the house. On Monday, she re-chewed two of them off. I thought she outgrew the phase. Apparently not.
  • Not getting enough sleep makes my right eyeball hurt.
  • I need a Halloween costume idea.
  • We've given LuLu a couple of more howling lessons and her form and tone are coming along nicely.
  • Broncos won. Yay!
  • No hockey. Boo!
  • Mom and Dad are here in two weeks. Yay!
  • Too much avocado/guacamole makes my stomach hurt.
  • While I usually stick to beer, I had my first martini last night. (Yes, it was sorta froo froo, but it still counts.)
  • Nothing goes better with football than potato chips and onion dip.
  • We bought ourselves a plate set. We can finally donate some of the mis-matched stuff.

Another Post of Random Information

We're trying to pick a color for the spare bedroom. Something that goes well with the beachy-white furniture that should come in soon. We're leaning toward sagey/mossy greens or khaki with a wine trim. I'm pretty much open to anything.

My car was five years old on September 1st.

I am more than halfway through cleaning my bedroom closet. I donated a load of stuff to Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Body Sculpting and Peaches

Yesterday was the premiere of Gilad's new Total Body Sculpt shows on FitTV. It was very weight focused and I liked it a lot. I taped the mini-marathon that was on from 7am - noon. I did a couple of the shows and they're definitely more challenging than his previous Bodies in Motion shows.

Ric brought peaches in today from Palisade. Holy Crap! They are some of the best peaches I have ever had. I would eat like 20 of them in a row if my stomach could handle it. :-)
