Started taking vitamins, mostly because I should be taking them as a vegetarian. For the first few hours after I take the vitamin, my pee is flourescent yellow. Good times.

"Some ways we'll work and other ways we'll play"
Blind Melon will always remind me of Ithaca and Snuggle fabric softener.
Yup, finally using my iPod and waxing nostalgic about old favorite CDs.

Friday FiveName your favorite...1. Candy:
This is hard. In general, I'd say chocolate. But I love so many sugary kinds too: Cherry Bites, Swedish Fish, Mike and Ikes (genetic ;-)), Sour Patch Kids, the list could go on forever....2. Cookie:
Rainbow cookies, Black and White cookies, sprinkle cookies. Those Newman's Own Arrowroot Alphabet cookies.
My favorite cookie ever isn't made anymore. It was called a Fudgetown. It was kind of shaped like a flower and was a chocolate sandwich cookie....don't know why they stopped making them.3. Donut:
Chocolate glazed from Dunkin' Donuts. No one can ever duplicate that yumminess. 4. Cold drink:
Soft: Pepsi, Iced Tea, Arnold Palmer, Diet Dr. Pepper.
Hard: Coors Light, Stoli-Oranj and Seltzer, Sea Breeze.5. Hot beverage:
Tea, Hot Chocolate.

Get Some, Monkey!
After months of searching, I have finally found one of my favorite things ever. A monkey working a dum dum
on the old Talk Soup with Jim Henson.
What is Wrong With This Picture?
You know things are out of whack when 86 is "MUCH COOLER."

Somebody please press the Saturday button
Man, I've only had to work two days so far, and I'm already over this week. Please someone, pull the plug and make it end. I want to go to bed tonight and wake up in Saturday. Pleeeeease?
Loving the 99 degree days and the sunshine, though. And the mini chocolate chip cookies.

Fuzzy Muppet Dog
Spent the weekend in New Jersey and this is my favorite photo from the trip. The dog's name is Riley and he LOVES attention. I personally thought his royal fuzziness looked like a Muppet. But Muppets talk, right? He never said anything.
Oh, IIIII, IIII, I'm still Alive, Yeah-yeah
Hello. I have essentially been MIA 'round these parts. Apologies. I've been busy and distracted and mostly without things to say. All the stuff in my head has been thick and crazy and writing it down would require way too much focus and time. Both of which I'm applying toward other tasks as of late.
Fear not -- I'm in a good way. I'd say I'm exponentially happier than I was a year ago. How do I know? I have had more giggle-attacks in the past three months than I've had in the last decade. I thought uncontrollable/unstoppable laugh fits were a thing of my past, but they've come back. It's like I'm on some kind of natural crack. I forgot how much fun they are. And I like that they're contagious.
It's one thing to have no idea what you're laughing at, but it's a whole other thing to cause other people to laugh at this unknown thing too. I really missed it.
I'm not saying I've become a joyologist....just acknowledging that the depressed days are fewer and I can feel the happy cautiously starting to flow back in. The happy has set up shop next to the butterflies. (or the butt-flies, as Amy's daughter Emma calls them.) The butterflies have visited before, but I think they're looking to build. I hope they do.

Today was one of those days that I was really glad that I'm a vegetarian.

Rocky Mountain High
While out on a little walk to take a break from my desk, I came to an intersection where I was tip-toeing through the crosswalk in an effort to keep my flip-flops from kicking up the nasty standing water sprinkler puddles.
A John Denver-looking guy zoomed past on his motorcyle and told me that I needed to get in a bikini. To navigate puddles? I just think it was a toally odd comment.
Friday Five -- Curses!Favorite phrase when you have:1. Ate food that tastes bad
"This tastes like ass." or "This tastes like butthole"
Then I usually go on and describe its exact nastiness.2. Stubbed your toe
"Mother fucker!" (And/or a succession of every bad word I know streams through my brain.)3. Become frustrated
"Goddammit!" or "Shit...what the hell?"4. Broken something
"Bastard!"5. Been cut off by another driver
"Fucker!" "Bunghole!" or a combination of the two: "Fuckhole!"
