Friday Five1. What do you try to stay away from?
Meat, potholes, mountain lions, country music, cats, bad people, fake people, doctors, wasps, bees, snakes, cameras when I'm in a bikini, rusty nails when I'm barefoot, jumping into shallow water, poison ivy, smelly people, religious zealots, flat shoes (except flip flops), fried food - but it has a tractor beam, I swear, and evil aliens.2. Are you clumsy or graceful?
Clumsy.3. What is it too late for?
It's NEVER too late for anything. Especially Del Taco. 24 hours. 4. What/who was your first love?
I so don't want to admit this, because it completely implicates my nerd within.
Anthony Michael Hall (around the time of Vacation
and Sixteen Candles
)5. Friday fill in:

I believe that I
will be great

An English Springer Spaniel won the Westminster Dog Show. Very cool! Sporting Group! I'm always happy when it's not a toy dog or a designer dog. :-)

And so it begins....
There's already flowers waiting for someone in the lobby. Yup, Valentine's Day. As I've stated in previous years, I'm neither for nor against the day.
To me, it's more like a Rosh Hoshana (sp?) or Ash Wednesday. I know it is a huge deal to a bunch of people, but for me it bears no weight. I just don't care. Unlike the aforementioned holidays though, we're not forced to endure their holiday colors, chocolates and flowers from New Year's Day until tomorrow. I don't see people trying to oversell matzah or ashes.
And granted, it is considered a non-denominational holiday of sorts. But, is it really? I've seen plenty of people affected by their inability to participate, based on their singleness. They're either saddened and/or angered by their lack of significant other on which to bestow excessive love.
I'm serious when I say I just have never really bought into the hype of this holiday. I like to buy people candy and crap all the time. I don't want it- or need it to be limited to just one day. The people who do buy into it, and don't have anyone, or don't get anything, just seem to wind up bummed. Silly silly.
In any event, Happy Heart Day if you celebrate, and I'm always open to gifts of candy! :-)

Friday Five 1. How's your weather?
Decent. 40s today. A bit cloudy.2. What can you hear right now?
Sirius Satellite Radio. (Howard is a repeat today, so I'm on Channel 21 - Alt Nation.)3. Do you like to spy on people?
Not spy so much, as people watch. I *love* to people watch.4. When is the last time you had to prove yourself?
Don't we all have to prove ourselves daily? 5. What would you like to take back?

I Just Don't Know What to Name It
I know I've been lax about my posts. I'm going to try to be better.
What you don't realize is that I'm in the midst of a startup....I've turned into a woman-owned-and-operated booger factory. The right conditions presented themselves and I had no other choice but to go into business for myself. Everytime I dust or vaccuum, tah-dah, bumper crop.
Business is booming. Free samples upon request.
Five Happy Things
- Canadian geese chowing on recently snow-uncovered grass. (I love how it hangs out of their beaks.)
- My kick-ass AeroGarden.
- The Lily Allen CD. The lyrics and music are FUN! Finally something different.
- A couple of days in the 60s. A nice break from sub-zero temps.
- Tea. Yummy yummy black tea.

It's frickin' freezing here. In the 10 years I've lived in Colorado it has never been this snowy and/or cold. It sucks. It's always been mild and lovely...until now. I'm over it. I'm glad it's February because it means we're through an entire winter month -- all that much closer to the warm glow of summer. :-)
