Friday Five

1. If you had to choose being blind or deaf, what would you choose and why?
If I *had* to choose, I think I'd rather be deaf. I think life would be a lot more challenging without sight.

2. What is the best smell?
Man, I've got a killer sniffer, and I love the smell of lots of things. Stuff baking, flowers, shampoo, laundry, new tires, a person you love, oranges, and tons of other stuff....the list could go on for days.

3. Would you rather be hot or cold?
Hot.

4. What's the worst feeling in the world?
Despair. Self-doubt. Debilitating fear.

But overcoming them? The best feelings in the world!

5. Would you rather have something hurt or something be itchy?
Man, that's tough. Neither? I've been itchy my whole life....and have had some serious pain, both are equally annoying, but I'm gonna go with itchy.

A Repost

I first posted this little gem back on November 5, 2005. I got it from a now-defunct website. It's good advice that stands to be repeated.

"The secret is not to chase after butterflies; it's to take care of the garden so that they come to you. In the end, you will find not who you were looking for, but who was looking for you."

Friday Five

1. What do you dream about?
Having enough money to do whatever I want. (Not work and do something charitable for dogs.) Writing something great (screenplay, novel). I'd also like to find someone awesome to share my life with. Lots of beach vacations and living closer to my parents.

2. Who has been mean to you, lately?
A certain boy. But I got some closure last night and it's okay.

3. What makes you tremble in fear?
Nothing I can think of.

4. Tell us something you've destroyed:
Your mom. Ha ha ha. Hmmmmm, I don't know. A strawberry filled cake?

5. Do you feel in control over your life?
Very much. Ironically enough, more so today than any other day in the last decade.

Scars
Papa Roach

I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And my scars remind me that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel

Drunk and I'm feeling down
And I just wanna be alone
I'm pissed cause you came around
Why don't you just go home?
Cause you channel all your pain
And I can't help you fix yourself
You're making me insane
All I can say is

I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And our scars remind us that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel

I tried to help you once
Against my own advice
I saw you going down
But you never realized
That you're drowning in the water
So I offered you my hand
Compassion's in my nature
Tonight is our last stand

I'm drunk and I'm feeling down
And I just wanna be alone
You shouldn't ever come around
Why don't you just go home?
Cause you're drowning in the water
And I tried to grab your hand
And I left my heart open
But you didn't understand
But you didn't understand
Go fix yourself

I can't help you fix yourself
But at least I can say I tried
I'm sorry but I gotta move on with my own life
I can't help you fix yourself
But at least I can say I tried
I'm sorry but I gotta move on with my own life

Friday Five

1. What timezone are you in
Mountain.

2. Do like Daylight Savings Time, or should it be gotten rid of?
I like the extra sun, but it's kind of annoying and weird that we're the only country that does something like it.

3. Do you wear a wristwatch?
Yes.

4. What time is it right now (local time)
8:33AM

5. Analog or Digital?
Up until recently I always had a digital watch. I'm currently wearing an analog one. I have a hard time...so I guess I prefer digital. NERD.

World Series of Pop Culture I like Jeapordy too. And on the random afternoon I indulge in a few minutes of The Price is Right.

2. What game show would you like to be on?
World Series of Pop Culture. Because I know 96% of the answers.

3. Do you know anyone who has been on a game show?
Yes. Plenty of college peeps interned at Game Shows in L.A., and a childhood friend's father produced a bunch of game shows for ABC. (Eleonora Kawka - where the heck are you anyway??)

4. What do you think the worst game show is?
All these silly new ones. With the lights and the forced drama.

5. Bob Barker, Howie Mandel or Alex Trebek?
Bob Barker is the king. "The price is wrong beeeeyatch."
